Fenthrows was founded by Malcolm Fenton, as a specialist solution to Throws training in Athletics. In addition Fenthrows offer Strength & Conditioning for multi-sports.
Malcolm has been coaching the Throws for 44 years, having followed a dual path as a competitor and coach since the age of 18. He is currently the World Masters Hammer Decathlon Champion and record holder.
Fenthrows are based in Lincolnshire, with services offered in that county, as well as North Norfolk, North Cambridgeshire, Rutland and the East Midlands. Locations further afield can be made by special arrangement, or with our preferred partners.
Malcolm Fenton is the former Event Group Lead for the Throws, at both British Athletics and England athletics. He is a former UK National Coach for the Hammer and was the Lead Throws Coach for Team England at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and at a World Indoor Championships. Malcolm has also served as a Thows Coach for the RAF and Army Athletics Teams.
He currently works as a Throws Advisor to England Athletics and is a coach for Cambridge University Athletics Team.
As well as working within Athletics, Malcolm has also worked as an S&C in American Football, Rugby League and Boxing.
He has been employed as strength and conditioning coach for both the British and the Netherlands Bobsleigh Teams, working with the Olympic Bronze Medal winning British 4-Man Team.
